I took my iPhone 14 Plus in for a battery replacement. The phone was working fine before that. Two days later, it overheated in my pocket, started blowing thick white smoke inside my house, melting the case, and then it shut off completely. It hasn’t worked since. Took it back and the shop said they couldn't confirm it was their battery that caused it, so they wouldn't replace the phone. They did give me my $120 back and threw in another $80.
