I love the energy of the community. When I visit my grandfather everyone is so nice and easy to talk to. Beth the nurse has been very helpful when my grandfather has med or health questions. When my grandfather was in the hospital she came to visit to make sure he was ok. The food service is good and the cook makes sure people are happy and listens to the residents. The staff make or break your family members experience. My loved one has been forgotten to be given food at meal times and frequently waits at least 25 minutes after pushing her button to be helped get out of her recliner and into her wheelchair so she can go to the bathroom. On 2 separate occasions, staff could not tell us when the last time our family member got morphine which was supposed to be every 4 hours. We moved my mom into assisted living at Charter Senior Living of Hasmer Lake in April 2024, after my dad passed away. Though it was a tough time for my mom and our family, my mom felt at home right away. She has a lovely apartment with a beautiful view of the lake, and the staff was caring and compassionate from day one. My mom has made new friends, and they all watch out for each other. My husband & I have lived here since August, 2024. It is clean & beautiful. Like anywhere else it is not perfect. There have been a few glitches, but they have always been resolved. The food was not good when we first moved here, but management & the cook met with residents. They listened to our issues & the food has improved tremendously. I’m picky & even I think it is good.
