My mother is a resident at Cedar Living. I do not have enough good things to say about the care she receives. The staff is kind, attentive, knowledgeable and they all take the time to learn about their residents. The facilities are clean and comfortable, with a number of activities to keep everyone social. Meals are freshly prepared and delicious. Transitioning a parent to assisted living can be very emotional. I spoke to Derek on the phone and asked about pricing and availability. He was not helpful to provide details about the facility or pricing, gave me an average price that residents pay, and then accused me of calling to do a "market comparison" and not calling to find a place in the interest of my loved ones. He told me I could go to the website to get any other information that I was looking for and that he had nothing else to share. Not impressed with this place. They don’t return phone calls. Once inside it seemed like the folks working cared about the residents, but communication is poor.

If you're looking for upscale premises, this isn't your place. If you're looking for a place where the staff REALLY care about and enjoy the residents (and each other), and everyone is happy - this is the place. And the families of the residents know each other and many have dinner with their loved one most nights. I haven't been to another facility where the atmosphere was happy. Only 16 residents. Everyone knows the residents and in turn the residents know the caregivers. Meals are home made and.can be adjusted to meet the.dietary needs of the residents. It’s a happy place.
