I just moved to the area. Was having a difficult time finding the shoes needed to work 12 hour shifts at the other stores in town. I went in, immediately was greeted by Melinda who was very pleasant and took the time to educate me on what type of shoe I needed for the demands of my job. Great space to find outdoor gear! The staff are incredibly helpful, especially when you’re like me and aren’t as knowledgeable about what suits my needs. I was looking for a pair of working shoes, since my job requires me on my feet for several hours at once, and they helped me find a pair of Brooks for work and for going running! Highly recommend this place!
We were a small group in town to hit Brown mountain trail 1 and stopped in for our OHV permits. We had no other plans but the staff spent time with us and turned us on to local places to ride/see/eat like Wilson’s creek, coffey’s general store, linville falls, famous Louise’s and table rock. This was an amazing place and the t-shirt and shoe selection is amazing ! Definitely stop here if you’re in the area or just drive here to meet the staff and check out their selection. You will not be disappointed!
I always enjoy this locally owned outdoor sporting goods store when I'm in the area. The owner has been a nice man to talk to through the years any time I shop there whether I buy anything or not. Pleasant staff. Just got into disc golf so I stopped in and found a couple discs at a great price.
