We came in for the weekend to ride walnut mtn. First my son’s clip-less pedal shoes wouldn’t clip in. The guy in the store took a lot of time with us and installed new cleats. We went riding and my son took a fall and broke his brake lever. We went back to the shop and the guy offered to install a brake lever and do a full tune up over night so we could ride the next day. I had reached out to get an old bike tuned up before a horse show. To say that my experience was 5 stars would be an understatement. Not only was Jon, the owner, extremely quick to respond but he was so kind and wonderful to work with. He was more than reasonable in his recommendations and thorough in his evaluation and care of my equipment! When it comes time for more work, buying something new, or referring a friend I know where to go! If you have a bike, want to buy one, or just need a tune up this is the place!! 10/10
Had contacted a bike shop closer to me. There site said they were open. Called an got an answering machine. Hung up and called Catskill Cycle Works a little farther away. Got a live person on the phone (Jon). Explained my predicament. Grandaughter wanted a pony surrey and I got her one. (Yep she calls the shots!). Tire rot and tubes were shot. Gave Jon the specs. John did a terrific job getting my bike back on the road. Excellent service, very professional and friendly. I do a lot of cycling in this area and am very happy to have found a place where I can confidently take my bikes for service.
