Based on my direct experience with Catholic Charities Family and Community Services, I found the conduct of the assigned case manager to be misleading and inconsistent. I was explicitly told to return with documentation and assured that assistance would be provided. Before I was able to return, services were denied without explanation or accountability. They do they job but no compassion I said I need help with back pay rent and they gave me a number that I’d disconnected as well as just hung up on me. Instantly I tried to say thank you. Have a good day and before I even got a chance to say thank you. She hung up. I get it not. Everybody loves their Job and I know they get a lot of people who are Friend took, upset and scared, but at the end of the day these employees need to place themselves and people shoes and understand not. These people don’t care they didn’t even try to help me they rush you out of that place they aslo make you ring the doorbell while watching you on camera and we’ll take over two minutes to open the door they told me that I need to be getting evicted before they can help me with back rent That the eviction needs to be court ordered the catholic center stated that it was first come first serve they’re not for the community I also asked about the first month rent and security and they also denied me of that also I wouldn’t even... read more

You can be knocking on deaths door and they still won’t help you. Places like this that are supposed to be compassionate and help you with your situation. I have everything to prove my situation but because my order of protection isnt within the past week they can’t help me. They're worse than the president…smh

I went into the catholic family charities for help with getting some sort of help to hold an apartment for me to be told the house has to pass inspection I'll be homeless on the streets waiting for support with this program I will never understand these programs act like they help people but turn them away to live on the streets.
