I would definitely have to give them a thumbs down I reached out after being referred by the Will County building in Joliet when reaching out I was told that I did not qualify for a hardship because at one point I was receiving unemployment and I would need to understand that unemployment would eventually stop which I have never heard such a disappointing reason to deny someone assistance that has lost their income and is only receiving probably 25 to 30% from unemployment and if Will County is referring this charitable faci... read more
They don’t really want to help you ! I gave the caseworker Alicia Rodriguez all the paperwork that she asked for to get help with my security deposit, but she didn’t feel that me being homeless for the past 11 months due to mold being in my system from my previous place was a good enough hardship to receive help ! I gave her all the proof and documents that she asked for and they still wouldn’t help me with my security deposit ! I wouldn’t seek help from here . You’d be wasting your time !
Got referred by 211, I’ve called twice with 2 different housing issues and the reception totally blew me off . Everything I said she had a counter too. I asked “ well what are the qualifications that would make me eligible?” She goes on and says “it verifies.” Totally a waste of time and need to take those services of the website.
