We needed some help with our current account at Cathay Bank and went into the offices on 235 Fifth Avenue in NY. We received excellent services from both employees, Andy Tong and his female colleague, with the assistance of the bank manager. BEAWARE! I would highly recommend to NOT do your mortgage with CATHAY BANK! You’ll be sorry if you did! I have my mortgage with them and deposited a little over 7k, then they started charging you by the dollar for being over! When asking them, they are EXTREMELY rude! Most banks will let you know and take off the charges if it’s your first time, but most the rep at Cathay are EXTREMELY difficult to work with, WON’T negotiate with you, will NEVER call you back! And they WON’T take off any charges even if it’s your first time!... read more
