Had the couple’s massage. It didn’t feel like we were massaged by CMTs so much as by two random ladies from the neighborhood. My masseuse, Gypsy, told me that she wasn’t able to give me a deep tissue massage. Honestly, most of what she did was rub an obscene amount of essential oil into my back and onto my scalp. I had the most amazing experience at Catalina Sea Spa! I booked a 90-minute hot stone massage and was paired with Gypsy, who was absolutely incredible. She has such a natural gift for finding tension and melting it away — every movement felt intentional, flowing, and deeply relaxing. The warmth of the stones combined with her technique left me feeling completely renewed and stress-free. The lady who answered the phone was nice, until she wasn’t. The website doesn’t state all the things she mentioned on the phone. Misinformation. The masseuse is only there if there’s an appointment and yet the business lists “walk-ins welcome”. How do you walk-in if you need an appointment? I don’t understand how this isn’t a perfect 5 stars. My wife and I did a couples massage and they went above and beyond. I can’t say for my wife but Esther was the best masseuse money can buy. I have had MANY massages in my life and that was by far the best massage I’ve ever had. Pleasantly surprised. May even come back to Catalina just to get that massage again. Don’t even look at prices, I have no clue what I paid, it doesn’t matter.
Worst massage ever and very expensive too.
