one of my favorite places in the midwest. castle perilous is the place to go if you’re looking for community, friendship, and a wide variety of comic books, board/card games, and related ephemera. there’s even a selection of drinks and snacks!
The owner had the nerve to pull up a fake evolutions booster box with red and yellow packs as a price point and offered me 140 for a xy evolutions booster box and called other stores talking trash about me lol other owners knew i was coming and he said i was a idiot that didn’t know anything…that box was 800 at the time and now 1800 yay for me..
Felt almost 0 interest in welcoming new people into or expressing/sharing any information on games that the people frequently visit the shop play. very short and uninterested in showing me the locations of a specific TCG I was after, instead just gestured and said what I have is down there somewhere... and display area was very shuffled up, there Was a younger worker at the register and an elder gentleman in the back room . the elder gentleman looked busy stalking and once I actually found what I was looking for quickly grab... read more
