If you are visiting the lovely town of Castine, you really must take a cruise on Lil Toot. They offer 45 or 90 minute cruises, and I'm happy that we signed up for the longer one, as it was so enjoyable. The scenery was beautiful, and it was fun to see the impressive homes from the water. We saw a lot of bird life and a few seals, but even without the wildlife the cruise would have been worth it. The personable crew gave interesting narration. It is a must do experience for anyone visiting Castine. There is no better way to enjoy the coast than on lil'toot. Zander's knowledge of the history in the area and his patience with children is to be commended.
This is a nice, gentle 45-minute tour of Castine Harbor and the L'il Toot boat Captain Jeffrey is both a great pilot and narrator.
