A full service brick and mortar store filled with yarns & supplies to delight the knitter & crocheter! We offer lessons, private & group and offer finishing services. Custom orders for knits are welcome.

Great little shop on a Great Lake! Don’t hesitate to visit if you’re in Vermilion. Or you can order online. They have a wonderful selection of yarn, accessories, and even Polish pottery. The staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Special thanks to Anne for answering all my questions. I love Cast On!

Thankful to have a yarn studio with unique and beautiful options within driving distance! They always have everything I need to get started on my next project! First time in today and I was blown away by the selection ! I can’t remember the name of the woman in the studio but she was such a delight to talk to. I will be back- love the international yarn selection , patterns, and accessories! Update- I love the expansion of yarn they’re having! I just met the owner this past weekend and she was lovely! I travel out to Cast On Yarn Studio for their great selection and customer service :)
After hearing that Brooklyn Tweed yarns were being discontinued, and having never knitted with them, I found sweater quantity of Shelter in three different colors on sale at Cast On. Their website is beautiful, online shopping was easy, and shipping was super fast. I hope to be able to visit the shop in person one day.
