Scam scam scam! Somehow processed orders against my card without authorisation and refused to rectify. Avoid at all costs
Never purchase a gift card from Hotels.com or any CashStar backed company again. We purchased an e-gift card for Hotels.com and after it said it was delivered (it wasn’t) we called and found out the purchase is still under review. We cancelled. What’s the point of buying an e-gift card if it doesn’t go out when they say it would.
This company has a lot of fraudulent charges. I had a weird possibly Sephora charge to my credit card. I don’t shop at Sephora. I googled the number in the charge, and it came up to cash Star, and tons of complaints of fraudulent credit card charges. Now I have to wait for a new card to come due to filing a fraudulent charge. My card wasn’t even stolen, which tells me this company doesn’t even check for that crv number.
Just reached out to this company over an issue with a Gift Card being mailed out. CashStar is not a customer service oriented company. I'm also going to share with the company where I bought a Gift Card, they need to stop doing business with this company, reflects poorly on them. I'm sure people may miss checking them out before they use them, but beware when you try to buy giftcards - go to the store and get one if you are not going to do an online GC - DO NOT buy online if you see this company name.
Purchased a gift card from Cashstar but later realized it won’t work on my online account due to region lock. At last they refunded me after I spent time negotiating with Cashstar customer service about my issue. I’d say they aren’t completely fraud although their website lacks a lot detailed informations on gift cards they sell which can mislead consumers into accidentally buying them
