Being a working Mum, some nights you just need to pickup a chicken on the way home for an easy dinner. After a string of disgusting meals from the Red R people, I did the rounds of the local small chicken businesses. OMG!!! Casey Central Charcoal Chicken is seriously so. Freaking. Good. The marinade, the stuffing, the chicken not being dry, the charcoal-y goodness. My parents live in Frankston and ask us for dinner and to bring some chicken from here. Seriously good stuff!!!!
Never thought I’d rave about a charcoal chicken joint, but this place is seriously the best I’ve had — even compared to inner-city spots. The chicken is juicy, tender, perfectly seasoned, and great value at $18 for half a chicken with two sides. The salads are packed with flavour and the chips are fresh and crispy. Portions are generous too. A total hidden gem in the southeast!
