I tried to make an appointment for an eye exam as a new patient. The receptionist asked for my insurance which is understandable, but when I said that I am not sure, she said in an inpatient tone "you need to know if you want to make an appointment. I said, "I understand." Then she said you need to know what insurance you have if you want to make an appointment" again as if I did not hear her the first time.
