Walked in to get a new account. Expressed my desire to open a new account for direct deposit as I’m new to the area with thousands of dollars to deposit initially. Was told I needed a hard credit check to determine my worthiness of their credit union. Ridiculous … I was bringing money to them and asking to bring more … not asking for credit.
