We were very wary of leaving the uhaul we rented in New York at this drop off. No one was at this business at 11am on a Tuesday. We called the uhaul in New York so they would be aware of the situation. The reviews about the state of the property are true. Avoid this business.

I recently rented a Uhaul from Carterfields and while the equipment was in good shape, the owner was gruff and unfriendly but polite. When I returned the Uhaul in perfect condition with the mats put back in the cab for pickup, I was charged a cleaning fee of $25 because the owner was looking for any reason to charge that fee. When contacted about this, he was again polite but stated that he charged the fee because "if i have to lift a finger, i'm going to get paid for it."

Do not use this business if you value your time and money. The owner of this place was rude and unhelpful, making me wait in line for 30 minutes while he casually chatted with another customer in front of me. He acted sleezy, as he refused to give me a refund I was promised for UHaul botching my reservation time and charged me for more miles than I drove. The amount he charged my card in no way resembled the actual bill I received from UHaul. Avoid renting here if at all possible.

If you are a woman you should use extreem caution visiting this buisness alone. If you are a man you should accompany your wife to this buisness. Owner doea not know how to keep his hands to himself.
