Lies, manipulation, and deceit. Do NOT trust anything they say. Back in February 2025, I was told by Carter Young, Inc. that if I paid a lump sum or completed a payment plan, the debt would be fully deleted from my credit report. The rep was very polite, very reassuring, told me clearly that deletion would happen after payment. That’s the only reason I agreed to settle. In May 2025, I paid $900 in full. UPDATE: THE INCORRECT INFORMATION WAS SUCCESSFULLY REMOVED FROM MY CREDIT REPORT. I called to inform this debt collecting agency of a payment that was made on an account that they held in collection. I asked for an email address to send the receipt. I was given the incorrect email address twice. The person that I spoke with the second time wanted to argue with me about a word that I said. Extremely Disappointing Customer Service Trying to help someone who struggles with English resolve a debt issue? Good luck. The representative I dealt with became confrontational the moment they heard anything other than English. Instead of assisting, they accused me of impersonation, despite providing identification information. The overall attitude was dismissive, unhelpful, and unnecessarily rude.
