Dear Carter Lumber Customer: In 1932, my grandfather, W.E. Carter, along with T. Neil Jones, founded the Carter Jones Lumber Company in Akron, Ohio. By 1965, Carter Lumber had grown to 12 lumberyards and opened its first plumbing, electric and heating store in Columbus Grove, Ohio.
