This bank operates on very old technology that breaks down all the time. They’re online Customer service is never able to help. the phone number on the back of your debit card is an 800 number that wants to sell you a life alert button and unless you’re buying a button , they will immediately disconnect the call. Interestingly, they all have night deposit slots but most branches do NOT have ATM to access to your money. So this is the bank that only wants the money to go in. Great service wonderful people. All of the Carter banks have wonderful employees. That is why I became a stockholder. One other reason is that I remember Worth Carter as someone who really cared about the local community. And that is something I really admired about him! So I plan to remain an owner of his wonderful bank! His employees are absolutely the nicest people. I hope this bank never changes!

I recently inquired about an IRA at the Bassett branch with the help from Jenn Oakley and Cammie Hambrick. These two ladies went above and beyond to my needs. They answered all my questions that I had concerns about. Made me feel very comfortable. I also want to point out they were extremely busy that day, and they seem to be very shorthanded but they professionally help me to all my needs. These employees need to be recognized for an outstanding job they are doing on a day-to-day basis.

Carter is a lifetime free checking bank. I've banked with them for 40 years. I've never had any issues with service and the tellers at the Bassett branch where I do most of my banking are always polite and outgoing. Also any questions I have they are always happy to take the time when helping.
