BE AWARE OF THIS BANK!!! My elderly God mother is out of over $10,800 because she reported a potential scam and when she went to the bank to inform them, they wouldn't even change her account number and sent her name to Adult Protection Services. They released the money anyway and won't return it and it appears to us to be an inside job. They're trying to say that they didn't change the account number because it wasn't compromised but if it wasn't compromised then why did you report it to Adult Protection Services? We have always had a positive experience at this branch of Carter Bank being customers since Patrick Henry Bank opened in NC. In the past few years in particular, one teller has stood out as above and beyond. Jośe Membreńo is always friendly, professional, accurate and prompt. He very quickly became a “go to” person for help is resolving any issues at the bank. Hopefully management will recognize the positive attitude and work ethic Jośe brings to this branch and keep him front and center representing Carter Bank.
