Every time I come in from Nashville, I stop by Carriage Trade. It isn't a trip to Blowing Rock unless you've visited this little storefront on Main St. They have an eclectic variety of things that can satisfy any age group. The silver and jewelry are really nice. The snacks are awesome. The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly.
Looks like a great little gift shop. But was very disappointed when we entered and the guy working there started making a very hard sale on a specific toy to my small kids. Was trying to even share how they have many toys and only allowed a couple right now for a reset and he was just so rude talking over me trying to make my kids fall in love with this stuffed animal thing thats supposed to be all the rage. Donna was so helpful and wrapped all of the MANY Christmas items that we purchased so well for our trip back to Raleigh. Still thinking about the Mark Roberts nutcracker in the window!
I live in Oxford NC and have been coming every year for years! The owners have always been very kind and helpful! We look forward to our trip each year!
