If you care about your loved ones with dementia, then don’t place them at Carp Commons. We were pleased with Carp Commons at the beginning…beautiful facility, clean, bright, great food…it’s a great place if you can live independently but not if you require the care needed when you suffer from dementia. We were promised great care but soon realized that they were not equipped to properly care for my mom. Basic needs were not met…toiletting, basic hygiene….my mom was rushed to hospital almost every month for UTI’s…my mom’s bed... read more

I was thoroughly impressed after our initial tour. First few days after move-in, I was amazed; staff went above and beyond our expectations. So much relevant an me accessible programming, amazing and varied food options. And the community culture is fantastic! So many great residents there. Now we are close to a year in and we are still impressed!! Huge thank you for a local, probably supported and run retirement village. “HORRIBLE AVOID” I have not posted a review sooner cause I am still having a hard time accepting what was done to my mom while she was there, she was in Carp Commons on the MEMORY CARE UNIT, for 8 months and has dementia, let me tell you that it’s criminal how bad it was and how they could get away with treating our loved ones this way. My mom is now in long term care at PETER D CLARK AND she has improved somewhat which is really strange because with dementia she should have declined, but with proper care she is doing really... read more
