I went into the bathroom once and there was what I would presume to be fecal matter all over the back wall. This was in the stall all behind the toilet. Sheet I opened the stall and the smell hit me like a train. As I walked up there was a man grumbling coming down the stairs so maybe it was him. Even 7 years after moving away I miss my sweet Carone's more that ever. They have good regular groceries but I actually think they really shine on the prepared foods and seasonal treats. Looking for some pagash or a nut roll or just an affordable grab and go hoagie. They have a good meat selection with house made porketta and sausage. They used to have quite a selection of Easter candy as well. It's just a great, mid-size, friendly market. When I am back for the holidays, a visit to Carone's feels like home.
