Great lawyer who cares about his clients. We have been going to his law firm for over 20 years, and are thankful to have he and his team in our corner.
I would never recommend Michael Carey Law firm. I paid to have mortgage #100248 which I had with Euitable discharged . That was almost 10yrs ago. Though I owe nothing, the discharge was never done and filed as should be done by my lawyer. Some lawyer! I have been calling his office and he never calls back. I once talked to his secretary who promised to look into the discharge issue, nada! We should have the option of zero stars.
I have used Michael for several transactions. Straight talk very responsive and priced well for service provided.
Would not recommend...had to use him for a simple condo purchase sale that my regular lawyer in toronto could not handle due to scheduling conflict and this transaction being in Ottawa. I asked for an upfront estimate of ALL anticipated fees and he quoted me one price which I asked if this indeed was everything he would anticipate needing (in particular his disbursement costs). When the final bill came there was a lot of things that were higher and when I asked him on the phone to clarify some of the fees he got very aggress... read more
