My mom has been a resident here for over a year now. This is never an easy decision for anyone. Knowing that she is being taken care of and in good hands, puts my mind at ease. Anytime I have questions, the staff are always nice and helpful. I know this is not an easy job and it takes special people to do what they do. I’m sure they are understaffed and underpaid, which is sad. It makes me appreciate them more than they know. Keep up the great work!!

I just read Shansa Klette's review and obviously not much has changed there. I was there several years ago with all my faculties about me I witnessed so much. Looks are deceiving. The place is well maintained but some of the staff had a lot to be desired. I was only there because of an infection after surgery that my insurance would only pay this way for the medication I needed. They gave me the wrong medicine in my IV. When my son confronted them, they would not admit which nurse did it, them came in trying to intimidate me... read more

I have witnessed one of the STNAs being verbally and physically aggressive toward a resident. They have also ignored residents’ needs and claimed that nothing was wrong when there clearly was. Additionally, many of the rooms and hallways have unpleasant odors. Overall, there are areas that need significant improvement to ensure residents receive proper care and respect.

Call lights go unanswered. Family member has been in this facility for 2 weeks and still has not had a shower even though we have asked several times. We have been told its the holidays and we are short staffed so they can't give showers. Asked for admission or baseline labs to be obtained, still have not had lab work done. Had a care conference and the administration seems to have the same lazy and non-chalant attitude. Asking for referrals to be sent out today. Therapy is one of the best; Response to call buttons is unacceptable; a 15 min. call turned into 2 hrs. The quality of meals, especially dinner, is not acceptable; some meals are not even eaten; food is wasted; If a patient does not have someone to speak up for him/her the patient is at the mercy of Highland Springs!
