Well worth a quick stop before you go to the main Church to see this free printing shop. The staff are incredibly friendly and eager to share their knowledge of 18th century printing, a surprisingly interesting topic. There is a small gift shop too!

An interesting piece of history and architecture. It is an interesting detour to make when visiting the nearby church and cool to walk around.

We really enjoyed our visit. Could have spent hours chatting it up with the printing/engraving staff. We appreciated your attention and wealth of knowledge about the period. A must visit.

What a cool little spot. The proprietor is a wealth of knowledge, had some truly interesting facts that history buffs will love, and acts on the square. 10/10.

Come here to learn about US history and meet a wonderful human being. This unassuming shop is my favorite stop along the Freedom Trail. Gary, who owns and operates the printing presses, has a palpable joy and passion for Boston’s history and printing (do get him started talking about paper!) that draws people in. He is knowledgeable and entertaining and has a gift for connecting with people. I’ve visited Gary’s shop twice in a single year, and I know I’ll keep coming back.
