Brian makes beautiful cabinets, but he does not follow through on his estimated time table or payments. Do not pay him up front or give him any money to pay contractors. You should pay the people he subcontracts yourself or they might not get paid. Look him up on Iowa Courts Online and see for yourself. We werent warned and now we have been without a kitchen for 4 months and it is still not close to being done.
My elderly aunt contracted this person to re-laminate her countertops. She had the material, which she gave to him, and paid him upfront based on references she got. The work has not been performed. She filed a small claim against him and he rejected her claim. The funny thing is, she has the cancelled check she gave him and that particular credit union where he cashed it requires fingerprints for non-members.
