A significant issue arose just before closing involving a contractual dispute over major plumbing repairs. Once Marc Darnell became involved, everything changed. Not sure why a cashiers/certified check is not used for a home closing settlement. Not using a cashiers/certified check drags out the check clearing process for up to 10 days. This causes additional expenses for the home seller, such as waiting around to ensure the check clears and keeping insurance enforce as well.
