I had a frustrating experience with this tax office. The first time I used their services, everything went smoothly, and I paid around $200. However, the second time I approached them, they shocked me by telling me that all my potential tax refunds would be taken by the ATO, and I would need to pay an additional $700 to the ATO on top of their $200 fee. TLDR: Do not use Capital Tax Returns if you do not have a simple tax return. My partner and I have utilized Shaun’s services at Capital Tax Returns for the past two financial years. Initial impressions from our first year (FY20-21) were fine, Shaun completed our returns on our first visit, all went smoothy.
