As someone else has mentioned as well, I haven’t lived here since 2015. They keep sending me paperwork about unpaid balances or delinquency. They have my address and it’s clearly a different state. The excuse I keep getting is because someone has a similar social security number. This place is ridiculous.

I never owned property and my local tax bill with CapTax was always $0. Even though I never owed ANY local taxes after filing with state and federal taxes - because my zip code was where CapTax does business - they charged "late filing fee." Again, MY LOCAL TAXES WERE $0 - YET THEY CHARGE YOU. They could easily get all local tax info from state filings, but even if you owe nothing - they will harass you the rest of your life. I moved to Marysville and ever since I filed my state and federal taxes I do in every state never missing a year. CapTax showed they were different. Their business model is based on hidden fee structures and predatory practices. BEWARE - if you live in Marysville you're not safe if you just file your state and federal taxes.
