I had an outstanding experience with Capital Cookware and their customer service. My mom originally ordered a replacement pot lid, but unfortunately it didn't fit her pot. Instead of simply telling her there was nothing they could do, the manager James she worked with was incredibly patient, kind, and determined to make things right. Open box All Clad cookware. Great service and better prices. A little hidden in an industrial center but worth the search.
My husband bought me the 12 inch D5 with the helper handle and lid and I LOOOOVE it. It is my new favorite pan now. It is so sturdy and everything cooks up so well in it. It heats evenly and super fast, is easy to keep clean, and it's big enough that I can crisp things up in it without the food overcrowding. I'm a smaller person so the helper handle is awesome for me to be able to move it around when I want to, because it is quite a hefty pan. I plan to start cooking all our food in it. Capital Cookware is one of the best vendors for All-Clad cookware and other cookware items. I've bought from their eBay store, as well as direct from their website. You can get incredible deals/bargains on their factory "seconds" pots and pans, featuring utterly minor/trivial aesthetic defects that are barely noticeable and that don't affect the cookware's performance.
