A relaxing incredible home from home. Sept 2025 This was our fifth time at Cantick head in the last seven years and it is still as amazing as ever. As usual, we were greeted with a familiar warm welcome from Alan and the two dogs Ziggy and Luna. Unfortunately, we missed Vicky this time as she was away. Staying at an active lighthouse has been a dream for years…..Cantick Head fulfilled that dream and exceeded every expectation. Alan was a wonder host and became a dear friend. The views of the sea, the picture opportunities, the friendly chickens all contributed to a truly memorable experience. The welcome items were thoughtful and contributed to a truly exciting Scottish experience. We LOVED it!!!!
Cantick Head Lighthouse is a one of a kind! We celebrated my dad's 70th here and had a wonderful time. The house is beautifully decorated inside with views of the lighthouse and Pentland Firth beyond. It makes you feel like a real lighthouse keeper. If you get the chance it's well worth it!
