My kids have thrived in this daycare/school! We’ve been here for almost two years, and love it. Miss Kimmer is amazing at what she does, always passionate about making it a great learning environment. Miss Nikki is awesome with the older kids, and was a huge support for my oldest when we started. Miss Marrian takes great care to prepare the kids for elementary school. Miss Lena has won my younger toddler’s heart! All my respect and gratitude to this awesome staff!
Canterbury is a school my family chose for a few reasons, the primary one is the reputation of the Director, Ms. Kimmer, who makes every child, adult and person feel safe. My son has grown tremendously, adapted, and through her leadership learned so much! We look forward to continuing to learn from and attend Canterbury - thank you for your hard work, it takes a village to raise great children!
I’m sharing my experience so other parents can make an informed decision. My child attended briefly and, while he did have some behavioral challenges typical for his age, I did not feel the staff handled them appropriately. I personally witnessed his teacher provoke him by holding an item out and pulling it away, then taking her hand to his cheek, which escalated an already emotional situation rather than helping him regulate on the first day. It is sad to see how far this daycare has fallen. We left this daycare after 5 years in May 2025, as have several others who we know with kids our children's ages who left months before. Great options nearby are Primrose just across highway 69 and All Around Child at 135th Street who actually have teacher consistency. We started with our first child in the center in 2020 where I easily gave the center 5 stars.
