Canisteo is one of the shabbiest towns I have ever lived in and there is no reason for it. Tractor trailers and other big trucks are allowed on non-business side streets and on Depot Street where water, sewage, and gas lines abound as well as on Green Street through a trailer park. Cats run all over the place and most are wild. Much could be done to beautify this little town. Ideas need to come forth in the hope of having our youth return after college and there is absolutely nothing for them to do here while growing up. Thi... read more
