Chair caning and rush weaving are fast-disappearing arts. Luckily for those of us who have old chairs, Mr. Jerry Proulx works at this craft in South Burlington Vermont right across from the Burlington airport. Ive asked him to repair both rush-woven and caned chairs and all have been done to an excellent standard of craftmenship. Hes obviously a busy man but Ive not heard of anyone who excells him in quality or service.
Mr. Proulx is one of the most experienced caners in the country today. His quality standards are high and he has the skill to match them. He is proficient in all types of cane and rush seating. I know his work well because he worked for me at THE CANING SHOPPE in Cambridge MA for 16 years before moving to Vermont to open his own business (The Caner's Choice).
