My name is Mary Perez and I have been diagnosed with multiple myeloma in October of 2024. When I first reached out to cancer services was in November of that year and I was referred to them by crisis control. Cancer Services has helped me numerous times by assisting me financially so that I did not become displaced from my residence while undergoing treatment during my extensive medical leave from work. My wife has had a horrible time getting any help at all. We are Hurricane Helene Survivors and on top of that Devastation we are dealing with two more devastations and one being cancer. We were advised to call for Financial Assistance and that was quickly dismissed. If you are looking for assistance other than a couple nights at a cheap hotel on our experience, this might not be the place you are looking for.
