Initially I had reached out to Derek months before we were placed with a child to understand how the finalization process worked from a legal standpoint. Derek was able to answer all of my questions in an understandable way. Once we had been matched and placed a few months later, we were told Derek was a judge and was no longer practicing. Pam, Dave, and Derek were all so helpful to us during our adoption journey. They were quick to respond and provided comfort and expertise on all the questions we had. We’re so glad we chose them to go through this process with us!
The entire process was smooth, despite some difficult circumstances. We had a very unique adoption situation, which included multiple states, three guardianship conservators, and biological parents who were in jail or hard to find due to substance issues. Such a great group of people to work with. I’ve worked with Vaun Hall, Jacob Nelson, and Dave Ference, plus their amazing paralegals and friendly assistant.
Jake is super easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. He cared about my questions and my situation and was great at helping me to understand what was going on in my situation. He didn’t rush me nor did I feel rushed and he allowed me to be able to understand what was happening and to get what I was needing. Would definitely recommend!!
