Camp Pollock is a unique gem in the center of Sacramento. Probably one of the only pieces of private property in the region that's open to the public, and with river access. The old Boy Scout lodge is available to rent for private events, nested within beautiful oaks, and natural habitat, it provides all the essentials for any occasion. With 11 acres of property there's plenty of open space for even the largest of gatherings, and casual exploration. You should visit.

The grounds seem to be kept well and it was a nice place to walk around. However, there was a crazy power tripping city worker. She said I wasn't allowed to take pictures in the park. Like what it is a public park she said it was because she didn't want my friends and I coming back to mess with the animals. That was just rude and presumptuous I would never hurt an animal. She needs to get a grip. I told her it was a public space and she said I shouldn't be there. Pretty park staff is terrible. Someone should talk to the lady... read more
