This is the third consecutive year my daughter goes there and she doesn’t want to hear about any alternative. The waited for the day i drop her off at Lohikan.
Lines. Lots of lines from the time you arrive until you depart. When checking your child in, you can spend up to 2 hours in lines for the lice check, getting a shirt, dropping off meds, and some other health check. Second year for my daughter, she loves it. It’s camp, she got to enjoy it and explore some independence- the councilors are amazing, it’s an international group which I love. It’s an awesome learning experience for her and I highly recommend it
My son said this camp was horrible. He said his cabin was filled with weird kids, and the worst part was a strange Chinese kid named Rain Chen. He barely spoke English and always said, “Hello, I have question,” which was kind of weird. Additionally, he kept following my son every period asking him “What are doing?”Overall, it was an awful experience. On top of that, there was a huge piece of poop stuck in the cafeteria, and it smelled like actual dog poop. It was absolutely disgusting.
This camp is really bad, and the image on line is not match up to what it was. The message that got send was change when there is something negative about the camp.
Camp Lohikan has a 4.4 star rating with 307 reviews.
Camp Lohikan is closed now. It will open at 9:00 a.m.
