RecommendedThis place is literally life-changing. My mother was a Camp Fire Club leader and my sister started as early as she could. I got to tag along on their journey from the beginning, all the way to my sister's WoHeLo ceremony. Throughout the years, I watched first hand the friendships fostered, life skills learned, and a little piece of community built because of this well-developed youth-serving organization.
I was lucky enough to experience the magic of Kirby as a child and to have my mother as my club leader. I am thrilled that Camp Fire still exists to nurture our youth while still fostering independence, help kids connect with each other and with nature, and build caring and confident leaders.
I would absolutely recommend Camp Fire Samish! My daughter has been part of it for 3 years and she loves it. She has made many new friends and has learned some pretty cool stuff. Since the quarentine, Camp Fire Samish has been so helpful by having virtual meetings for everyone 3x a week. In our home, we have incorporated it into our daily school schedule. These meetings have truly been a blessing and Sasha is an amazing leader. I sincerely want to say thank you to Camp Fire Samish for helping keep my household sane.
Being in Camp Fire as a child gave me so many wonderful memories! I’m so thankful to have Camp Fire Samish and Camp Kirby to create memories with my daughter and for her to make and keep life long friendships! ❤️❤️❤️
Camp Fire Samish has given so many kids the chance to learn in their own ways. Whether it is their work and programming through Camp Kirby, or the after school enrichment programs, or even their clubs, Camp Fire Samish cares about their youth. Their office staff and their camp staff both are supportive and accommodating. Thankful that I have been able to have as many opportunities through CFS as they have given me :)
