Went here for over a decade every summer as a kid and it was the best experience of my childhood. I moved from Vancouver to Toronto years ago but my husband convinced me to try the family session with my two kids (5 and 2). It hasn’t changed, in the best way possible. Solo parenting was easier than expected with all the planned sessions for kids and given the other parents and kids around to help. Family camp is a wonderful week for fun and adventures with my son, offering new challenges, singing silly songs, and building deeper relationships. We love Camp Artaban and want to come back every year. Loving, caring, thoughtful staff support a fantastic programme and beautiful location for a truly memorable summer camp experience
I just randomly remembered coming here about 25 years ago. I was a kid and I remember arriving thinking I was going to a normal summer camp. Then it began, trying to indoctrinate me into Christianity, telling me I have to go pray. After not taking my "no" for an answer we were taken to the forest for a candle light vigil and prayer. The beauty of the environment and nice people were completely overshadowed by how horrible this felt.
