Summer Camp Camp Artaban is a Christian (Anglican) camp located on Gambier Island, BC. From rock climbing and crafts, to spending the afternoon down at the waterfront, our days are jam packed with exhilarating, fun summer activities from dawn till dusk. Rental Opportunities Accommodating groups of up to 180 people, our facilities are frequently rented out for weddings, reunions, school groups, corporate retreats, Scout camps, and more!

I just randomly remembered coming here about 25 years ago. I was a kid and I remember arriving thinking I was going to a normal summer camp. Then it began, trying to indoctrinate me into Christianity, telling me I have to go pray. After not taking my "no" for an answer we were taken to the forest for a candle light vigil and prayer. The beauty of the environment and nice people were completely overshadowed by how horrible this felt. Camp Artaban will forever be my favourite place. Beautiful scenery, incredible waterfront access, delicious food, and amazing staff create the perfect place to get away from it all; be that for a week at summer camp, a weekend away on their Island Getaways or the most perfect wedding venue or retreat. There is a reason they’ve been running since 1923 — because once you experience it, you’ll have to come back again and again
