What a wonderful place for elderly people! New building well maintained, very clean and welcoming! Home manager Samita is very professional and easy to approach, responds to all concerns in a timely manner. Care manager Rajina has solid clinical knowledge and leads clinical team to provide best possible care to all residents. My mother and my very good friend passed away,.......two years apart...both had dementia ... Calvary carers are wonderful...but the Manager and the supervisors are cold and there is no after death kindness. No sympathy card, no telephone call ....absolutely nothing. The premises are beautiful the girls are great....but there is no answer to emails, no show of concern to family grieving...absolutely disgraceful...because of their lack of empathy I do not recommend this facility as you will not be treated with respect.
My grandparents were residents here for many years until my grandfather passed and when my nan was too unwell she was moved into the hostel. We were given 48 hours to pack up and move out of their two bedroom unit. When my nan was moved into the hostel I walked into her room to visit and one Indian nurse was standing over her bed and was repeatedly saying “Can I have this skirt when you die Del? Our mother passed recently at Calvary Ryde. The staff were exceptional in their care for Mum and their professional dealing with all of us involved. I couldn’t recommend them more.
