The rates are great. The paperwork is from the 80s. Caltech's technology hasn't been transferred. That makes the experience with tellers worse than it could be. Loans are great though and once you speak with a specialist, it's all great. So, my only recommendation is to modernize the User Interface and the paperwork to *simply* change an address (2-3 steps with at least two paper letters). Anyways, nothing that they do not know already.

I've been a long time customer, even after leaving JPL/Caltech several years ago. They have good dividends on their savings accounts (not the best), but they offer a variety of services with good customer service. I like banking at smaller institutions because they don't treat you like a number. I've had pleasant banking experiences with CEFCU overall.

joined back in January 1999, when I was hired by Caltech, since then have been at three different jobs which provided their own credit unions, but chose to remain with Caltech Employees Credit Union, have had two car loans, credit card, etc. I have always had great service. Love the friendly employees that I consider to be friends as well, more like I family, I always feel welcomed. as a matter of fact, will be stopping by on a few.
