Cool place to railroad lovers and kids who are crazy about trains. If the kids play are larger with more toys, it would be better. Many toys are old and could hard to complete a full railroad.
Great place to take the kids, we met railroad Bob outside while we were looking at the train schedule he was so kind and had lots of information to share. We had the pleasure of basically having a private tour guide. Any questions the kids had he answered and was very happy to teach the kids wonderful things about the trains he used to conduct and how he got to be a conductor.. I would definitely go again. Top notch experience for 1-90 years old. Real historic train carriages and locomotives on display with knowledgeable staff that will engage in interesting conversation. And that $12 per person fee is a steal which is less than half the price of nearly every museum nowadays! Second floor section is dedicated to model trains which brings smile to children. Highly recommended
