This company advertises themselves as negotiators who can get you a high settlement but it seems they don’t follow through on that promise instead they’ll take whatever the insurance company offers and charge you for the deductible plus half this means that you only end up with 30% of the earnings, which is significantly less than what is expected. I called California recovery group even though I live in Reno, NV. They were very quick to act and sent someone over to inform me of everything. They reached out to my insurance company and got the ball rolling. After that my insurance company reached out and sent someone to find out the smoke damage through my house. After they figured there was in fact damage they sent out an estimator to calculate the amount of money that would take to repair the damage. I should have just gone through my insurance and dealt with them directly. They literally took 50% plus I had to use my portion for the deductible so let’s say 60%. Farmers cut a check out really quick after inspection. Right away California Recovery called and said once you get the check we will send someone out to pick it up. They said they have to cash it and give me my portion. When I got the check I wasn’t happy with the amount.
