As an alumnus I get to join Braun at a ridiculously cheap rate. And with that I get use of the pool, gym, basketball court, tennis courts, squash, the track, fitness classes - the whole facility. The shower facilities are a bit old, but this facility has everything you could possibly need. And they have plenty of machines, swim lanes, etc that you don't have to wait to get in your workout. This is the best value in fitness in all of LA.
I went to Open House event at JPL last year, it was quite interesting experience. There were exhibitions of the life-size space crafts; fun activities (I remembered the static electricity experiment); movies/ presentations that explained their missions; friendly staffs at each booth to answer any of your curious questions. Other than these, it's a great campus to check out! The Open House event will happen again this year from Oct. 10- 11. Go early to prevent local traffic.
