Not what it used to be, and that's great! Scolari's used to be a place for fleas, vomitus, stink and punk rock. One of those is good. Since those days, it's been revamped, updated, sumptuously appointed... and plays diverse music that a different sort of people like. So yeah, it's different than it used to be. The sound system has improved dramatically since it first opened, and the addition of the new (and amazing) neon sign show that the owners are interested in constant improvement. Worst bar ever I was no big fan of the old Scolari's Office. But at least it was friendly, decent prices, and fun with a group of friends. The new Office is horrible. Now there's a cover charge to get into a place so dark you can barely see. The music from the DJs is moronic. The drinks are all way overpriced. Service was terrible. Skip this place and walk a block to Bar Pink, or hang at nearby Toronado instead and avoid this stupid bar. Hopefully it will go out of business soon.

North Park's once-funky dive bar gets a modern makeover with sleek furnishings, classic cocktails and a return to the historical haunt's probihition roots. Cool dive bar Interesting vibe, local bands on Saturday nights, cheap beer. Pool tables in the back are fun when the front gets packed.
