Newrez has been my mortgage holder for 6 years. My only late payment was in Feb., due to my oversight, and I paid it promptly, along with the monthly payment. Upon reflection, I contacted Newrez and asked for consideration of the late fee ($65.69) because in 6 years it was the single time I was late. For the 4 yrs they have taken over my home mortgage loan from Caliber Home loan, they have failed each year to pay my home insurance on time resulting in cancelled home insurance, a complete mess, that I have to clean up, year after year. My previous mortgage company was excellent. But now with Newrez problems, It's one of the reasons I've decided to sell my home. Sadly, the worse mortgage company I"ve ever dealt with. My mortgage broker said they get alot of complaints about Newrez.
