RUN! Horrible experience with Caldwell. A short list: 1. They misspelled my and my husbands names over a half dozen times (and different ways each time, so it wasn't "automated" just consistent lack of attention to detail 2. I got fined hundreds of dollars due to their negligence in addressing notices in a timely manner, including a letter stating the sum was going to be sent to collections due to non-responsiveness. The Virginia Beach office is unresponsive, careless, lacking a sense of urgency. Huge mistake getting this company involved on my family's finances. I can't decide if they have no idea what they're doing or if they're downright shady. In February or March of this year, we paid $700 to have them look into a major discrepancy with our taxes. We had paid the IRS more than 4 years worth of income tax, yet we still have a couple years worth of a balance. I used to work at another CPA firm. The owner of that CPA firm sold his practice to William Caldwell. It was a huge mistake for him to sell it to him. William Caldwell was extremely rude to employees. For example, because of the severe weather, I was not able to work at home for one day because the internet was down.
