Very disappointing experience with Bill, Banu, and Sherman. The firm name changed to Compass, but unfortunately the poor communication and tax errors repeat. If you enjoy paying overpriced for poor service and erroneous tax filings - this is your firm, but if you seek competent and complete communication seek another tax preparation and bookkeeping firm. RUN! Horrible experience with Caldwell. A short list: 1. They misspelled my and my husbands names over a half dozen times (and different ways each time, so it wasn't "automated" just consistent lack of attention to detail 2. I got fined hundreds of dollars due to their negligence in addressing notices in a timely manner, including a letter stating the sum was going to be sent to collections due to non-responsiveness. The Virginia Beach office is unresponsive, careless, lacking a sense of urgency. Huge mistake getting this company involved on my family's finances. I can't decide if they have no idea what they're doing or if they're downright shady. In February or March of this year, we paid $700 to have them look into a major discrepancy with our taxes. We had paid the IRS more than 4 years worth of income tax, yet we still have a couple years worth of a balance.
